Anyone else note seeing the Symbol font in Chemdraw 18/19 on Mac? Can't make Greek letters anymore. |

You can use the Character Map (View >Show Character Map Window) to create the Greek characters. You will find the Greek character under "Math Symbols ------------------------- - PKI Support |

Thanks. I see the character map but I don't see a way to make the pi symbol, for example. It used to be possible to just type a 'p' and choose Symbol font to get the pi symbol, for example. Same for all the Greek letters - 'a' for alpha, 'n' for nu, etc. This "workaround" seems more like bug. |

ChemDraw does not install its own fonts; it uses the fonts available on the machine. Please check the font is working fine in other application (eg Word). If you still run in to any issues, please visit http://informatics.perkinelmer.com/Support/Contact/ to submit a ticket (or send an email to informatics.support@perkinelmer.com), to get assistance from our Tech Support Team ------------------------- - PKI Support |

Symbol font is installed on my computer and works correctly in other applications. Just tested Word again. p => Greek pi. Chemdraw: Symbol font isn't even in font list. |

This issue is specific with Mac OS Catalina, not reproducible with other Mac OS X; fixed already and available for the future update. ------------------------- - PKI Support Edited: 11/12/2019 at 1:46 AM by CS RNA |
