Hello, can anyone help with this problem. I use Chemdraw ultra 10.0. It worked fine with Wordperfect up until version X4. Whenever I try to cut/paste a chemdraw structure into a wordperfect X4 document, wordperfect crashes and closes. this happens with both windows XP and windows vista. However, if a document that was created with an earlier version of wordperfect has a chemdraw diagram, that diagram can be edited in wordperfect X4 without crashing the program. If anyone knows of a workaround I would appreciate hearing about it. Switching to MS word is an option I wish to avoid if at all possible.
Thanks
Chemorgan

Based on your description, it seems that new WP X4 documents are having trouble dealing with pasted ChemDraw 10 objects. Some things to try:

1. Retest with our 11.0 software to see if that makes a difference
2. Try Paste Special and see if pasting in a different format helps. Be aware that you may not be able to edit the structure when using Paste Special.
3. Save the ChemDraw structure in a non-chemical format, like TIF, and insert the TIF into WP. Again, you will not be able to edit the inserted TIF, but it may serve your purposes.
4. Contact WP Support to see if they are aware of the problem and have any patches.

Did you ever figure out why? We are having the same problems.
