So when starting Columbus you recieve the error:

* Starting Columbus
Database: [ OK ]
Acc: [ OK ]
Web: INFO : Nginx server is [up] ERROR : invalid literal for int(): ...

This may be caused by the pid files containing invalid data, try removing them and restarting Columbus by issuing the following commands:

$ sudo rm /usr/local/nginx/logs/nginx.pid

$ sudo rm /usr/local/PerkinElmerCTG/Columbus_version/webapp/columbus/var/run/fcgi.pid

(change version above as required)

$ sudo /etc/init.d/columbus restart
