Is it possible to export a plate from Columbus and then later restore it so that it has the same measurement ID when reimported?

I've tested this a few different ways and it seems like reimporting the same plate always generates a new measurement ID.

The goal here is to ensure that links to wells (e.g. http://columbus/browse/measurement/3888/well=2.1) remain intact after a plate has been exported from Columbus (say, to archive it), and then restored (if one wants to review the image data x years later).

Hi Chris,

I am sorry I missed your comment, I will checkin here more regularly looking forward. Unfortunately you will get a different ID on import. What you suggest is a fair comment so have added to the feature tracking system for our reference COL-323 (Ability to maintain or restore the measurement ID of a dataset if it is exported and reimported at some stage to maintain links to wells).

Cheers,

Jason
