Hello,

Is it possible to allow an administrator (root or otherwise) to save analyses and run batch analyses on other user's data once LDAP authentication is in place?

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

The ablity to modify data within a screen folder i.e. run a batch analysis, save an analysis is restricted to the owner of the data - that would be the user who initially imported it. Other users will be able to view that data as long as they are a member of the same group at the point the data was imported. On that basis it's not so much about the LDAP integration but more a limitation of the OMERO user/group/data association.

Thanks,

Richard

Thanks for the reply Richard. I think as a workaround we could write analyses for other users while viewing their data, and just save the analyses to file (instead of to database), and then ask users to run those analyses themselves.

Best,
Chris
