Answer:
Hi all,

We have had a similar request from ELN users and came to the conclusion that Word files stored in the 'Hosted Documents' section correctly work with track changes.
Maybe this work-around is an alternative.

Regards,
Alexander

We use ELN version 12.1 and Office 2010.

When I open a word section I can use the review function to annota text. When track changes is on text that is added or changed is underlined and get's a different colour.

However wjen I save ELN the word section is not only saved but all changes made are accepted, as if you had used the accept all button in Word.

How can I use the review function in a word section of ELN?

Hi Alexander,

Many thanks for sharing the workaround for E-Notebook 12.1.

For earlier versions, we recommend accepting all changes and finalizing the document in external MS Word application before importing into E-Notebook.
