![]() Answer: Both 32- and 64-bit Windows 7 have been qualified with the recent versions of E-Notebook Oracle Enterprise 12.x. Please refer to the Release Notes of your version for more information. There is an experiment size limitation of 12MB by default, set in the Oracle database. This limit is “cumulative”, which means that all the “document sections” (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF, etc.) in a given experiment jointly cannot exceed 12Mb. | |

Has anyone seen Out of Memory Exceptions in E-Notebook version 12 - particularly running on Windows 7, x64 and when rendering large experiments (over 20MB)? Are there any important differences with running the E-Notebook client on Windows XP (32-bit OS) versus Windows 7 (x64)? |

I understand what you are saying about the size limit. However, some in our site research community would not concur that a 12MB experiment size is a particularly "huge" amount of data. It would also be worthwhile to know whether the client memory management differs significantly on Windows 7 (x86 or x64) or not. In my very limited comparison it appears that the client running on Win 7 x64 consumes a significantly higher (~2x-3x) VM size versus my XP client - although that could be due to some other factors. |
