Answer:

Problem:

Problem in saving the order of entries in the enumeration list.

Description:

When created in the reaction section, a property field, say for example “Initials” as an enumeration list and adding some values, the first version of the list was generated and the entries were arranged in the order as we arranged using and . No problems were encountered.

When entered an additional value and again used the commands to place it in the desired position and pushing had no desired effect. The changes made were not translated into the pull down menu of the notebook pages.

Looking again into the section type configuration it is found that also in the Enumeration List this entry is again at the end of the list!

How to arrange in the correct order?

Solution:

As soon as you add a value in the "Enumerated List Properties" window you have to change the order as per your requirement then click the ok button. However if you want to change the sequence later on for some reasons, follow the steps listed below:

1) Click "Properties..." tab just below Enumeration List in the "Reaction Conditions" window.

2) Click "Add value" tab in the "Enumerated List Properties" dialog box.

3) Enter a value and click ok.

4) Again click "Properties..." tab under Enumeration List in the "Reaction Conditions" window.

5) Now change the sequence as you need and finally remove the value which you had added in the

Step-3 (if you don't want that value).

6) Click ok.

Now you would be able to see the modifications done reflecting in the property field “Initials”.
