We've been exploring TIBCO Spotifire with Lead Discovery and cannot get it to render SMILES files. We've look through the help files and followed the instructions therein on how to configure/specify a rendering module with little success. This machine on which spotfire is installed does run a site license for Chembiodraw ultra 13 if this is relevant.

1. Check if you have the correct versions of renders for Spotfire 6.0

1.1 Since you mention to have ChemDraw Ultra 13, please verify that you have also installed the ActiveX Enterprise.

2. Reinstall renderer.

To identify the content type for a column:

1. Select Edit > Column Properties from the Edit menu.

2. Select the column for which you want to specify the content type. If there is more than one table, you may have to choose the table first.

3. Select the Properties tab.

4. Select the Content Type property.

5. Click on the Edit button to open the Edit Property dialog.

6. Edit the value to reflect the correct content type:

Structure Format

Content Type

Daylight SMILEs string

7. Click ‘OK’ to return to the Column Properties dialog. The value field is updated with the content type.

8. Click ‘OK’.
